Residential Call Features
- Call Waiting
Alternate between calls so you never miss an incoming call! Place your caller on hold to answer another incoming call by simply pushing the Flash or Hook/ Receiver button. Return to your original call by pressing the same button.
- Caller ID Display
Make sure you know who is calling. Your telephone’s digital display screen will display the caller’s number when you are receiving a call, before the call is answered.
- Caller ID Blocking
If you want to prevent your number from being displayed, simply enter *96 before dialing and wait for the secondary dial tone before you enter the number you wish to call Your caller ID will be withheld from this call only.
- Voicemail
WestTel provides a voice message service with more features than a typical answering machine. Personalise your answering service by recording your name and greeting, have voice messages sent to your email address and even access your voicemail from anywhere in the world!
To set up your voice message account
- Call (345) 746 2000
- Enter the default password: 1234
- Press #
You will be prompted to record your name, greeting and change the default password.
When a new voice message has been left, you will be notified through a stuttered dial tone when lifting your telephone off the hook.
To retrieve your voice messages
- Call (345) 746 2000
- Enter your new password
- Follow the interactive menu to retrieve your new, old or saved voice messages
To receive your voice messages by email
- Specify the email address where you want your messages sent when signing up
- Install a suitable media player on your computer
- Receive all new voice messages by email
To retrieve your voice messages from a phone other than your home phone (i.e. cellphone, from abroad, other landline)
- Call (345) 746 2000
- Enter your mailbox number. This is your 7 digit WestTel telephone number.
- Enter your new password
- Follow the interactive menu to retrieve your new, old or saved voice messages
